This field trip takes place entirely outdoors. 

Participants (both adults and students) are guaranteed to get wet and muddy, most likely up to the knees or higher depending on water levels.

➢  Teachers are required to participate in all activities with their students. Teachers must enter the water for dipnetting and swamp tromp activities, and be in a boat for canoeing. ➢  Teachers are responsible for monitoring and correcting their students’ behavior and enforcing all safety rules as outlined by Grassy Waters staff at the start of each activity. Inappropriate and unsafe behavior will lead to program termination. ➢  Choose chaperones that are comfortable in an outdoor setting and are willing to get wet and muddy while participating in all activities with students.
