Surf Skate Science Summer Skate School is an action-packed, hands-on skateboarding experience where students build confidence, friendships, and real-world skills through skating, creativity, and adventure.

​

Our skate camp roots run deep in South Florida. Our counselors and coaches have years of experience helping kids learn to skate safely, beginning with Ramp Camp in the early 2000s and later helping run Island Water Sports Skate Camp for more than 10 years. Now, Surf Skate Science is bringing that experience home to The Lab, our new headquarters and private skate training facility in Oakland Park.

Each week, campers will use The Lab as their home base while also exploring local skateparks throughout South Florida. This gives students the best of both worlds: a safe, private indoor training space for skill-building and real skatepark experiences where they can grow, explore, and put their progress into action.

But this isn’t just a skate camp. Each week, students explore:

• The physics of skateboarding, including speed, force, gravity, balance, and motion

• Creative design challenges

• Engineering mini builds

• Environmental science connections

• Team-building games and leadership skills

• Goal setting, resilience, and confidence development

Whether your child is brand new to skateboarding or already comfortable on a board, our program meets them where they are. We focus on safety, progression, encouragement, and helping every student grow, not just as skaters, but as thinkers, problem-solvers, and confident young leaders.

Camp Details

Drop-Off/Pick-Up: The Lab in Oakland Park

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am to 3pm

Weekly Rate: $299 per week
Daily Rate: $79 per day
