About the Event
Surf Skate Science is a homeschool STEAM focused co-op program for 3rd - 12th graders. Each class consists of a project based learning lab followed by some time in the water or in the skatepark. Parent participations is required. Read our FAQs for more details.
Did you know that 75% of the fastest-growing careers today require creativity, design, and problem-solving skills—not just technical knowledge?
This fall, Surf Skate Science students will explore the “A” in STEAM — Art and Design — and discover how creativity powers innovation. From video production and photography to illustration, print media, and art advocacy, students will learn how visual storytelling shapes culture in surfing, skateboarding, and beyond. Along the way, we’ll dive into the science and engineering behind design, exploring how physics, materials, and technology influence the gear, graphics, and environments that define action sports.
Because the truth is: great breakthroughs in STEM rarely happen…
