About the Event
Join Surf Skate Science on a private tour of one of our favorite South Florida facilities. This field trip is open to all homeschool families. You do not need to currently be enrolled in Surf Skate Science. However, capacity is is limited to 25 people and will fill up quickly. We will enjoy a private tour of Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, viewing the local tropical fish, stingrays, sea turtles, and other marine animals in their four large outdoor aquariums. We will visit the sea turtle rehabilitation and see how Gumbo Limbo cares for sick and injured sea turtles. We will also tour their butterfly garden and coastal hammock forest on a ¼-mile mulched trail which.
Cost $5 per person plus 50 cent processing fee. Ticket includes free parking passes to access to Red Reef park for picnic and snorkeling afer the tour.
