About the Event
This 7-week curriculum is designed to engage K-12 students in project-based learning focused on the future through the lenses of skateboarding and surfing. Alternating weekly between these two themes, students will explore engineering concepts, creative problem-solving, and sustainability. Each class will build on the previous ones, encouraging students to think critically about how they can shape a better future.
This syllabus provides a sample framework of the exciting and innovative projects and activities students will engage in during the "Engineering the Future 2024" program. While the outlined lessons and activities give a clear indication of what to expect, please note that they are subject to change based on the evolving needs and dynamics of the class. Our goal is to create a flexible, enriching, and responsive learning environment that adapts to the interests and progress of our students. We look forward to a productive and inspiring term as we explore…
