About the Event

This event is limited to a maximum of twelve participants to encourage a positive educational experience. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent during the snorkel. All participants, including parents, must pay for their participation.

Participants will be given an overview of marine species commonly seen in South Florida’s reef systems. After a brief introduction, participants will be led along an artificial reef system and snorkel tour in the crystal blue waters adjacent to Phil Foster Park in the Intracoastal Waterway. Known for its unique marine life, this snorkel is a great location to view such unusual species as the Leopard Sea Robin, Cushion Sea Star, Inflated Sea Biscuit, Atlantic Long-arm Octopus, Eyed Flounder, Burrfish, Longsnout Seahorse and Longfin Squid, just to name a few.
