About the Event
Surf Skate Science is thrilled to offer our students and families a special invitation to join us for the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the brand-new HOCKEY: Faster Than Ever exhibition at the Museum of Discovery and Sciencein Fort Lauderdale on Friday, January 30th at 10:00 AM.
HOCKEY: Faster Than Ever is a highly interactive exhibit that explores the science, technology, and history behind one of the world’s fastest and most exciting sports. You’ll discover how physics, engineering, and innovation shape every moment on the ice — from lightning-fast reflexes to the evolution of gear and equipment.
Exhibit highlights include:
Hands-on interactive experiences that test reflexes, power, and precision — like Don’t Blink, Need for Speed, and Score Like a Pro.
Opportunities to measure slapshot speed and aim like a pro.
A chance to snap a selfie with a real ice resurfacer and explore historic skates and protective gear.
