About the Event
Calling all sea turtle lovers! 😀 Mizell-Johnson State Park is will host a limited amount of students and families on a nighttime turtle walkr! The event will begin with a Park Ranger offering you an overview of sea turtles and conservation efforts in South Florida while spotters search the beach for nesting sea turtles. Once a sea turtle is spotted, the group will be led to the beach where they will be able to watch the sea turtle lay her eggs. (Image: FWC)
You must register for each participant. Participants must be at least 6 years old. All participants should wear long sleeve shirts, pants, and sneakers. Bug Spray is recommended. No flashlights. No Pets. The walk is free if registered but there is a park entry fee of $6/car.
