About the Event
Enjoy a day at Everglades Park
11:30 am- arrival, check in
12pm-12:30pm 30 minute guided airboat tour of The Everglades. Each boat holds about 20-30 students and chaperones combined. The airboat captain is going to talk about The Everglades Ecosystem. The captain is also going to look for wildlife and stop the boat and give some facts about any wildlife seen while on the airboat tour. Most common animal seen is alligators but there may also be opportunities to see turtles, fish, and birds.
12:40 am- return from the 30 minute guided airboat tour and go to animal exhibits
12:45-1:45- animal exhibits and presentations. Educational presentations highlight conservation and facts about the rescued and rehabilitated wildlife such as alligators and native & invasive snakes. Affordable shopping is also available at the gift shop area in the animal exhibits
