The Guy Harvey Foundation, in partnership with their longtime ally Brightmark, a leader in circular solutions, created the Plastic Pollution, Plastic Solution curriculum in 2023. Through this curriculum, students will explore age-appropriate topics such as identifying various plastic types, understanding their life cycles, and delving into diverse recycling processes. In this interdisciplinary course for third graders, students will explore the impacts of plastic pollution on ecosystems, inspired by science, art, and literacy activities. Students will investigate food webs, create art inspired by coral reefs, and communicate through haikus about the effects of plastic pollution on humans and animals.
